I'm very glad someone is testing jEdit on Java 6 for Mac - someone needs to be a front runner. This way when more of the mac developers upgrade their macs, or if Apple ever puts out a Java 6 for the rest of the world, they'll have issues to work on. I have this turned off on my jEdit anyway.Īlso considering that jEdit just recently made Java 5 a requirement, I'm guessing that jEdit officially supported on Java 6 will be a ways off.Īgain, I encourage you to bring your issues up on the mailing list or make a tracker item.

So, only offering Java 6 to NEW macs doesn't say finalized to me, otherwise they'd have an install for all 10.5.2 installs. I don't know what the distribution looks like, but I'm betting that the majority of mac users out there don't have the brand new macs, and are still running 32 bit macs. I don't know much about hardware, but I believe that the core 2 duo are 64 bit, but the core duo's are only 32 bit. > 08:18:07 ErrorListDialog$ErrorEntry: Try updating to a newer version of the plugin. > 08:18:07 ErrorListDialog$ErrorEntry: Cannot start: : com/apple/cocoa/application/NSMenu > 08:18:07 ErrorListDialog$ErrorEntry: /Applications/jEdit/jars/MacOS.jar: > 08:18:07 PluginJAR: at $AppClassLoader.loadClass(Launcher.java:288)
